Leaving the Samosir Island we went through lush greenery and plantations of coffee and fruits we came up to a hill top of a place where Pisang Goreng (Banana fritters) and Teh Halia (Ginger tea) is their specialty. When we reached, there were a few locals enjoying their snacks there too.
Niagara Hotel and Resort is situated high on a hill overlooking the Lake Toba at Parapat. It does indeed the most beautiful scenery of Lake Toba as they claimed in their website. We could not get a better looking picture of the accomodation
After coming down from the Big Buddha at Lantau Island, the air condition from the mall is so inviting. Getting out from the heat outside, we started to look around for food. Watami caught our eye.
Waking with excitement for the new day... we had breakfast from the left overs at the restaurant.
Setting out to our first destination - Ngo Ping 360. We took the MRT to Hong Kong Station to transit to Tung Chung station to get to the cable car station.

It was before we can check-in into our room, we drop off our luggage and headed out for lunch nearby the hotel at Kimberly Road.
We were so happy to see one of food to eat! Egg waffle.

After our egg waffle ticked off our food list, we headed for our next list - Wan Tan Mee and Duck Rice. Just a few doors away from the egg waffle stall, it is our lunch.
Jiann Chyi is one of well known restaurant in Sekinchan. It is located at the Bagan area, just within the fishing village.
It was during the Raya Holidays. When dad suggested that we go about looking for food at Bentong. It is rarely that dad is adventurous in looking for food these days after.
We went to this shop after it was suggested by the local goods lady from the main road.

It was during the Mother’s Day that we headed off to Old Man Restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was nearly packed; thank goodness that my sister made a reservation. It was not the best space which we got, but it was better than none.
Coconut & Chicken Soup
The chicken and coconut soup is refreshing. Meat and husk together in the pot of soup. We wanted to order another type of soup but as the restaurant is being full, there wasn’t much choice for us to choose from.

I had heard of this restaurant for some time. Finally, I was jumping for joy when I was extended the invitation to join my fellow friends on this review which I was just aired on the recent Ho Chak! episode on 8TV introducing Little Pantry.
Headed by Chef Andrew Seah, with more than 25 years of experience in restaurant, Chef Andrew is delighting food aficionados with an array of tantalizing European and Asian cuisines with his good balance of Europe and Asian menu to appeal to all food revelers. This is another way way outdated post… it was Christmas, planning with Pam and YH to go down town for photography shooting. I am embarrassed to say the least. However, we dropped by at Shaw Parade for some food and light refreshments before proceed to the heart of KL for some serious photography.
We made our orders promptly as both YH and I had come to this little warm café. The decoration at Typic a café had changed a little from the last time we went. It has the rustic old Christmas feel to it. With little small handmade Christmas tree on each table and the over head hang some natural brown ornament which matches the interior of the café.

We were at Cyberjaya for our company’s new datacenter cage launching in CX2. As usual, we always end the day with a company dinner. This time my colleague suggested going to Padi House which was halal and has a few options to cater for everyone’s taste buds.
Rosemary Bites which was not too far from my workplace. A night with no dinner, I dated my buddy for dinner after work. After we were seated by the friendly staff, we were recommended by their day’s special. The combo platter (if I could recall correctly) was very tempting, we were looking for something not too ‘red meat’ . . . the Salmon selection caught our eyes.
This is way way outdated post… I am embarrassed to mention the least. We were on our way to meet up with another friend of us when the sky turned gray and we were early to our ‘date’ therefore, my partner in crime suggested to make a short stop at Shaw Parade for a coffee session.
To me, the best place to be at when it is pouring is definitely in the cozy of a café. The smell of brewing coffee beans, titter tatter of the rain against the window, the slashing sound of the water from the vehicle and of course, the transformation of the grey clouds (without the thunder and lightning).
The little café is almost no place available we waited for a while for a couple to leave to have their table. While we were looking through the menu, the waitress so patiently explain to us and gave us suggestions based on our preference.
We were at Typica café when it is raining. Small and cozy with lots of window, we were greeted by their cheery staff and they are very patient in explaining to us the type of coffee and their recommendation according to our taste and needs.

I am suppose to meet up with my friend to talk about out planned trip this coming August, and she is working in Phileo 1. The shop Skippys Pizza came to mind after reading my other friend’s blog (MF and YH) about the food there not too long ago.
According to their website, Skippys Pizza is a Real Pork pizza company, which makes them obviously a NON HALAL Business. They do specialize in Pork and Vegetarian Pizzas. We made our orders and waited not too long for our food to be served.

Chinese New Year is coming to an end. Since we had stuffed our face with so many foods over the period of CNY, we wanted to go for something healthy. We then decided to try out this restaurant in Scott Garden as it uses organic ingredients in their dishes; which was suggested by one of my childhood friends. Moreover, our nanny is very specific with food she put into her system. The plan sounded good to me especially not having to drive too far in the scorching sun!
Chinese New Year just came to an end. We headed to Kota Kemuning for dinner before we adjourn to our destination - FGS Dong Zhen Temple. I was rather surprise that the town is so much developed now. We made a rounding around before we stop at the Ocean Point restaurant which seems to have more diners compare to others – we do believe that when we do not know which restaurant to patron when we are in a new place, best to go with the crowd.
Every year there will be gathering in my dad's side where everyone... well almost everyone will try to make it back to their hometown for the celebration. As we usually only travel back to Ipoh on the second day of Chinese New Year. The gathering will usually be held then. This year we had our gathering dinner at a vegetarian restaurant in Bercham, Perak.
Vegetarian shops are now moving towards a modern twist. Incorporating dishes served at normal restaurant to vegetarian dishes. Vegans are not missing much from the everyday stuff we are eating now.
