Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie, KL
Tuesday, November 15, 2011
Was browsing through some magazines when I came accross Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie, KL in the Jusco Pearl Magazine, Issue 62. Then a few of us from the 'Small Potatoes' decided to go for a session since so many people was talking about it.
Firstly, apology as I had not jotted down the names and price of the food we had eaten. Hence, will describe it as accurately as possible to the food we had ordered.
Wendy and Foozie had ordered their mushroom soup. They had mentioned that it is a must to have that in Levain. Cream of Mushroom, creamy and with chunks of mushroom and dash of spice too.
Pasta Prawn and Broccoli with Pesto. YK ordered this dish and she says it is very nice. There were quite alot of shrimps in that pasta though.
This is one pasta Foozie ordered to share with Wendy. I have forgotten the name of this dish. There is squid in it - probably it is seafood.
Never thought a kid could eat that spicy food! Wendy's kid, Abby had wanted to eat rice. This is the Japanese curry chicken rice. I'm not sure how spicy is it. But she seems to be enjoying her food.
My partner in crime was having a great time in Ipoh at that time. I could not find anyone else to share the food with me. And I polished up this - Creamy Mushroom Pasta. It has that creamy texture and also a little like Carbonara with cream sauce. Light taste of garlic as it was saute with the mushrooms.
Finally it is dessert time. We had passion fruit desert. Abby polished it up before the rest of us could have a bite.
Some of the bread we bought before we have our pastas. Doughnuts, Maple log bread and peach tart.
Jimmy and Kuan Kuan order a few other breads too. Croissant and this starry bread (Crispy Walnut Bread) to share . . . so lovie.
Our drinks . . . Strawberry Chocolate and Cafe Latte.
