4 Days 3 Nights, Medan Itinerary
Day 1
Kuala Lumpur - Medan - P Siantar - Parapat
- P Siantar
- Nagahuta, Franciscan Retreat House
- Capuchin friars
- Niagara Hotel and Resort
Upon arrival, meet and greet by local tour guide with refreshing towel and light breakfast or snack. Stop at P Siantar to try and buy local specialties made from peanut. Proceed to Nagahuta, Franciscan Retreat house for lunch and enjoy the beauty of the place. Bid farewell to the Capuchin friars and continue to Parapat for dinner and overnight at Niagara Hotel.
Day 2
Parapat - Samosir Island (Lake Toba)
- St. Fidilis Church
- Lake Toba, Samosir Island
- Tomb of King Sidabutar
- Ambarita, court of King Sialiagan
- Toledo Inn
After breakfast, we then take and enjoy a ferry ride across the crystal clear waters of Lake Toba to Samosir Island, a village of the Batak Tobanese to see their distinctive peak roofed houses. Observed their way of life and also to see the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar. Then to Ambarita to see the stone court of King Sialiagan. Overnight at Toledo Hotel, Samosir Island.
Day 3
Samosir Island - Brastagi
- Capuchin novitiate house
- Simarjarunjung, panorama view of Lake Toba
- Tongging, Sipisopiso Waterfall
- Mickie Holiday Resort
After breakfast, check out and visit the Capuchin novitiate house and church, St Fidilis. After, we proceed to Brastagi. On the way we stop at Simarjarungjung hill to see the panaroma view of Lake Toba entirely and enjoy their famous ginger tea with fried bananas. Short break at Tongging to see Sipisopiso waterfall. We then proceed to Brastagi for lunch and stop at fruits and flower market for shopping.
Day 4
Berastagi - Medan - Kuala Lumpur
- Poor Clares, Bandar Baru
- Annai Velangkanni, Tanjong Selamat
- Meeting Fr James, guardian of Annai Velangkanni
- Medan local food
After breakfast at hotel, we stop at Bandar Baru to visit the Poor Clares to have prayers and lunch at their beautiful convent. We also patronize their religious articles. Proceed to Medan to visit the (highlight) famous marian shrine, Annai Velangkanni at Tanjong Selamat to hear Fr James, (guardian) the amaxing personal story of the shrine and personal prayers and collecting of holy water from the shrine. We then go to Medan town to do some shopping and early dinner at own expenses to try local food. Then proceed to Airport and board the flight home.
