Held yearly at Putrajaya at the Monumen Alaf Baru. This year the theme of the event is

"1 World, 1 Malaysia, 1 Fiesta", the perfect avenue in promoting unity.

Hot air balloon being the highlight of the event, there will also be many activities and entertainment that is conducive for all.

There are other event and contest for everyone. Events will be, Paramotor show, Helicopter Ride, Extreme games and carnival. As for contest, Snap & Fly Competition, Colouring Contest, Block Building Competition and Paper Aeroplane Competition.



The crowd was huge, the queue is long when we arrived at the Monumen Alaf Baru, Putrajaya. This is the second time I attended the hot air balloon fiesta. Wading through the crowd we entered the "restricted area" where the countries setup their balloons. As we were walking through, tough security was at the entrance. Holding my camera with me at full view, no question asked and I made it through the tough security. The field is full of DSLR enthusiast and photographers and compact cameras alike. Little did I know, that the restricted area are only for those with cameras as they are having a photography contest for the event.


The highlight of the year would be the Doraemon Hot Air Balloon from Japan. There are few another new balloon too. To name a few, there is a cactus with parrots and hornbill and orange cat from Vietnam. Darth vader is there too this year.
