Sweet Hut, Kuchai Lama

Saturday, June 04, 2011
I was after our early dinner that we wanted to have some dessert to wash down the yummy dinner. We set out to Kuchai Lama for some dessert at Sweet Hut. There are quite alot of options there but there is no Tau Hu Hua. Pudding mainly. Pudding of different variety from Hong Kong chef.

The interior of the shop is decorated in white and red, located at the main shop facing the main road. After being seated, we made our order -

Fresh fruits and mango pudding with cookies ice-cream - RM9.80 from the Fresh fruits series.

The pudding has a strong mango taste with it. Served with several types of fresh fruits; Watermelon, honey dew, mango, lychee and last but not least the cookie ice-cream. Nice blend if you're looking for something light and refreshing.

Steam aloe and egg white milk with papaya (cold) - RM14.50 from the China classic sweet soup category.

We have to wait for the papaya a little longer as they fore warned us about it. The aloe is the sweetened type of aloe vera which you can get from the Lo Hong Ka. The papaya meat was still kinda hard though after steaming it. The papaya wasn't cut too deep, therefore, wasn't much egg with milk in it. Blended well if eat together. The papaya wasn't sweet therefore it depends on the aloe for added taste as the egg white is kinda of tasteless too. But the smoothness of the egg white milk complements the hard papaya.

Happy with the dessert I guess from her facial expression.

Total damage of the day - RM25.50
