It was after the Jombali’s review and it was the weekend too, when we decided to check out the new mall – KL Festival City. At first I did thought it was a festival held at some place and after some discussion and searching, only that I knew it was actually a new mall nearby Setapak.

We ended up having our tea break at Ka Fei Dian when it started to pour heavily outside after which we wanted to leave. The half price tea break took out attention. But the banner did give my partner in crime a misunderstood though when she thought it was entirely half price instead of just the bread. The cozy bricked and old time design of wooden stools and table did bring back the warmth. The aromatic smell of the brewing coffee is inviting.

Onde Onde . . . it is a rather strange name for a restaurant. It reminds me of the soft chewy kuih filled with sweet gula Melaka when it was bitten into it – sort of like the Malay siao long bao. Packing up and leaving the office as punctual as we are hoping that we could to get to Desa ParkCity on time. Braving the traffic congestion from work, we were late for our appointment of which we took 40 minutes.

Before we enter the restaurant of for our dinner, we took a quick snap of the signage at the entrance.


The interior of the restaurant brought back the nostalgic feel of the Nyonya Restaurant. With its antique china on the wall, the stone table and the colourful decorated stool it does brought the feeling of being transported back to the past where you can enjoy a good nice cup of coffee with some friends while chatting after a good long day at work.

Finally I had the chance to try out at the restaurant which had been residing in Taman Desa for a long long time. Fisherman's Wharf here claimed to serves authentic German cuisine. With wooded interior of an old time cafe and bar. It does look like the old time pub of the cowboy in some way.
