Little Taiwan, Mid Valley

I missed Taiwan though I did not visit much places nor eat much on the local food while I was there... good that there is restaurant like such available in Malaysia. Was shopping with my buddies and we decided to go Little Taiwan for our lunch.

Food are similar to those available in Taiwan. Probably the preparation and ingredients are a little different to cater to the local palate.

Pan Fried Dumpling - RM8.90 (6 pieces)

Also known as Wo Tiep by some restaurant. Pan fried to golden brown and dipped in the black vinegar and julienned ginger. It is the best combination to go with wo tiep. The skin was crispy brown while preserving the juice in the meat.

Little Taiwan Claypot Lao Su Fun - RM10.90

The claypot lao su fun had minced meat with mushroom, some vegie, slices of Taiwan sausages and with a raw egg. The noodle came piping hot with the gravy still bubbling hot. Mixing the raw egg with the gravy, coating the lao shu fun with the egg creating a smoother texture to the already smoothe lao shu fun.

Salted Chicken Noodle - RM9.90

There wasn’t much to talk about the noodle. The noodles are those of wantan noodle sort where it is springy with some veggies in a clear broth. The side dish is the actual specialty. Coat with flour and spiced chicken cubes deep fried with our curry leaves. Tasting a little like our buttered prawns. It is very appetizing. Just eating the salted chicken will be a great snacks but a little salty if eat on its own.

Jasmine Lemon Tea - RM4.90
Passion Fruit Milk Tea - RM5.90
Special Red Plum - RM7.90
