Fisherman's Wharf, Taman Desa

Sunday, November 27, 2011
Finally I had the chance to try out at the restaurant which had been residing in Taman Desa for a long long time. Fisherman's Wharf here claimed to serves authentic German cuisine. With wooded interior of an old time cafe and bar. It does look like the old time pub of the cowboy in some way.

I wasn't a drinker myself, so I had yet to try out the liquor there. There was German food in the menu of course, but here is the local and other western food. Upon recommendation, we ordered the 2 Smoked Garlic Sausages with Sauerkraut and Mashed Potatoes which is of two crunchy German sausages served with Sauerkraut or better known as sour cabbage (finely shredded cabbage that has been fermented by various lactic acid bacteria, mash potatoes and a full sauce plate of mustard sauce.

2 Smoked Garlic Sausages with Sauerkraut and Mashed Potatoes - RM23.90

I thought I had like mustard in my hotdog. But with this pure mustard sauce... it really blew off my nose! It tasted similar to the Japanese wasabe. Lesson learnt. Anyway, the sausage is really crunchy and juicy pork meat. The sausage is thick like those barbeque sausages available at Mr Ho's Fine Food.

Grilled Chicken with French Fries and Mixed Salad - RM14.90
Mum ordered Chicken Chop which is quite large in portion with salad and fries. Tasty grilled chicken chop with mushroom sauce.

Cream of Mushoom - RM5.90

Besides that, we ordered mushroom soup to share. And it comes with a basket of two toasted garlic bread. The bread is crunchy and very fragrant with garlic butter. The soup stood out too. With the creamy base of the soup and with lots of bite size mushrooms.
